Biographical Info

Kristen Kim, M.D. is a board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist. She earned a B.A. in Psychology with a Certificate in East Asian Studies from Princeton University and received her M.D. from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. She completed her residency in psychiatry and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of California San Diego. Dr. Kim is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Dr. Kim's clinical interests include the evaluation and treatment of children, adolescents and adults with a broad range of psychiatric conditions, including autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety disorders and mood disorders. She has experience practicing in community mental health, school-based settings and collaborative care models. She is committed to providing evidence-based, developmentally informed and family-centered care that supports patients across home, school and community settings.

Dr. Kim's academic and professional interests include medical education, physician wellness, collaborative care and improving access to high-quality mental health services for youth. She has also been actively involved in organized medicine at both the local and national levels. Dr. Kim is fluent in English and Korean.
