About Behrooz Vaziri, M.D.
Behrooz Vaziri, M.D., is a board-certified radiologist specializing in interventional radiology. He is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and an Assistant Attending Radiologist at NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
Dr. Vaziri graduated from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 2011, where he earned a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. He received his M.D. from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in 2015.
Dr. Vaziri completed his residency in integrated diagnostic and interventional radiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital from 2014 to 2018. He joined the faculty at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in August 2021 as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology.
Dr. Vaziri is passionate about improving patients' health and quality of life through minimally invasive techniques for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. He has particular interest and expertise in interventional oncology, including Y-90 radioembolization, transarterial chemoembolization (TACE), and thermal ablation of tumors, as well as non-oncologic procedures such as uterine fibroid embolization, treatment of genitourinary and hepatobiliary diseases, pain management, vascular access, and complex image-guided biopsies.
Dr. Vaziri is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, the American College of Radiology, and the Radiological Society of North America.
